A native of Asheville North Carolina, born to Deacon Joe and Faith McCluney, raised in Pentecostal settings while attending Sycamore Temple Church of God in Christ until his graduation from A.C. Reynolds High School in 1980. After his graduation, he entered the United States Air Force, called upon to serve during “Desert Shield & Storm” he served our nation faithfully until his retirement in 1995.

Upon his retirement in 1995, he accepted his calling into the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 1997, he was licensed and ordained to the office of Ordained Elder in the Churches of God in Christ. It was during that season when “New Harvest Ministries” (A Place of Restoration) was birthed out of his spirit from Isaiah 58:12. In 2002 he was elevated to the office of District Superintendent of the Upstate District of the South Carolina Churches of God In Christ and In 2022 he was promoted and elevated to the office of 4th Administrative Assistant in the South Carolina Jurisdiction of the Churches of God In Christ. He has served in official offices as Elders Ordination Board, Chairman of Credential Board and currently serves as Chairman of Crisis Management for the South Carolina Jurisdiction Churches of God in Christ.
